About CPLA :
CPLA (Crystallized Polylactic Acid) represents a derivative of PLA (Polylactic Acid), of which bioplastics can be obtained from easily renewable resources like corn starch or sugarcane. Due to the crystallization process in CPLA, the material’s toughness and heat resistance are increased, allowing this bioplastic to be used for high-temperature applications such as cutlery; otherwise, the regular PLA would soften or deform.
Industrial Compostability:
CPLA cutlery is made from PLA derived from renewable feedstocks such as corn starch and is intended for industrial composting under suitable controlled conditions. Certification and composting performance should be confirmed for the specific SKU and target market. Each CPLA fork, spoon, and knife has “compostable” embossed on it.
Heat Resistance:
CPLA cutlery is more heat resistant than PLA and can withstand temperatures ranging from 85 °C to 100 °C (185 °F to 212 °F).
